THT-Tetrahydrothiophene is a colourless transparent volatile liquid, insoluble in water, miscible in ethanol, ether, benzene, acetone. It has a strong unpleasant odour. a solvent and a fuel gas odorant used in fire safety stench warning systems in underground mines.
